THE REST MOVEMENT: WINTER

A 20 hour restorative yin yoga teacher training “The season of stillness and the element of water”

(Eligible for 20 CEU’s thru Yoga Alliance) - $495 investment

“In winter all is hidden. Winter is the season of retirement into depth, because of the cold outside. At this time you must not disturb or disperse the yang (Fire, active) energy so that you can allow the yin reserves to be re-established within you.”

  • the founder of Traditional Chinese Medicine, ‘The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine’

Our inner balance is affected by external factors - being a part of nature, we’re also influenced by the way it shifts and changes. And, just like nature we can benefit from noticing and adjusting our rhythms. By slowing down.

Both Restorative and yin yoga can provide a container to coax the nervous system into balance and promote deep rest. They both have roots in the ancient (and internal) healing arts - designed to enliven the tissues, strengthen the nervous system, steady the heart, and balance our energetic system.

This training focuses on the shapes and movements and mindfulness practices that will support your body during the time and transitions of Winter. We’ll find and embody relaxation “from the inside out” by bringing together the influences of Chinese Medicine, methodology for yin and restorative yoga, mindful meditation, and yoga Nidra.

This training is for yoga teachers, acupuncturists, massage therapists and anyone that practices restorative or yin yoga who wants to dive deeper into the philosophy and practices.
